Al-Taj News – The Cabinet, during its session held Sunday, decided to approve extending its previous decision to exempt increases in maritime freight charges on goods from customs duties and taxes, and to include all goods arriving via maritime shipping under these exemptions for an additional six months, including general and special sales taxes.
The decision aims to prevent increases in commodity prices for citizens due to the repercussions of regional conditions, ensure the sustainability of supply and supply chains, guarantee the smooth flow of goods, and prevent the global rise in prices from being passed on to citizens.
